The Holiday season can be a time of excitement and anticipation, but also a time of increased stress and activity. You can invite peace, prosperity, and joy into your life this Christmas by using the principles of Feng Shui in your Home.   Feng Shui principles can be applied to your daily routines just as Feng Shui elements can be applied to your Christmas decorating so you can make the most of this beautiful time of year where family and friends gather to celebrate each other and the year gone by. Let’s look at some Feng Shui tips to get you into the Spirit of Christmas.

Feng Shui Decorating

From your doorway to your Christmas tree, the holiday season represents a great opportunity to boost Energy flow into your Home. But, before you use the Feng Shui decorating tips, let’s talk about how the holiday season can be a great time to get more organized. Start by intentionally sorting through your Christmas decorations and discard or replace broken or damaged decorations. Consider donating decorations that don’t ignite feelings of joy or love. Check and replace bulbs on your light strands and use lights to invite positive Energy into your Home.

Now that you are ready to decorate with Feng Shui for Christmas, let’s start at your doorway. Your front entrance is the main point where Energy flows into your Home. According to the basic principles of Feng Shui, a well-lit doorway is important for increasing Energy flow in your Home. Using Christmas lights around your door and front pathway is festive and fun and they can also improve the Energy flow.

When it comes to decorating your Christmas tree, I recommend the Feng Shui practice of Intention setting. Your Christmas tree can represent a powerful force in your Home – you may set an Intention for Prosperity, Happiness, Peace, and so much more.

Applying Feng Shui for Energy at Christmas

Finally, it is also important to remember that Christmas is a time for self-care and reflection. It is an excellent time to consider applying Feng Shui for Clearing Negative Energy. Connecting or re-connecting to your Meditation practice can help you recharge and maintain your Energy for the holidays. As you decorate and organize, you also want to clear unwanted Energy from your Home. Clearing Negative Energy can be as simple as opening doors and windows to release blocked Energy, and clearing the space with Sage or Palo Santo. You can use scent diffusers using Sage, Eucalyptus, Bergamot or Sweet Orange essential oils to clear the stagnant and unwanted Energy from your Home. You can also take them with you during your travels. Each time you clear your Home, invite the Intention that you’re creating a loving happy space for your family and friends.

Lastly… if it gets too much at times, regroup and take a walk outside to release tension and tiredness. Fifteen minutes can do wonders in renewing our Energy.

I hope that you can find ways to use Feng Shui in your Home this holiday season so that you can feel renewed and refreshed as you enter the New Year.
