You may have heard of a Vision Board before. You may even have created one and filled it with images and words describing the things and goals you’d like to achieve in the coming months or years. But the chances are you haven’t created a Feng Shui Vision Board before. How does it differ from a regular Vision Board? Carry on reading to find out what a Feng Shui Vision Board is and how you can make one for yourself.
What is a Vision Board?
As you may already know, Feng Shui is all about energy and connection. The guiding principle of Feng Shui is that we are all connected, not only to each other but to our world and the things around us.
How does that relate to a Vision Board, though? By focusing on different areas of your life and connecting them with the areas that influence them, you can manifest and create intentions in a powerful way. Regular Vision Boards help do this to some effect, of course. But incorporating Feng Shui into your Vision Board can help you establish a theme and organize everything you want to manifest for yourself.
How to make a Feng Shui Vision Board
In Classical Feng Shui, the areas of your home are defined with the use of a compass. The compass determines the exact degree of which direction your home faces. This allows you to then know where the different areas of your home are located. Areas that define love and relationships, abundance and career are all located using a compass.
How to use Feng Shui Bagua
The Bagua is a tool we use a lot in Feng Shui. In simple terms, it’s a kind of map which allows us to analyze the energy of a given space. By determining the direction of your home, we’re able to overlay the Bagua on a floorplan of your living space. This then allows us to know which areas of your home relate to certain areas of your life.
There are eight areas of the Bagua, and each area coincides with a compass direction. For example, the southeast represents wealth, prosperity, and abundance, while the northeast represents knowledge, wisdom, and meditation.
Each of these areas is an area of focus for your Vision Board. By defining your goals in each area, you’re creating a stronger connection with the world around you. In doing so, you’re bringing the possibilities of achieving your goals to a greater chance of success!
The Power of Moon Energy
The New Moon in Feng Shui is compelling. It represents new beginnings. So, it’s the perfect time to start the process of manifesting your goals and desires on your Vision Board.
The Full Moon Energy is all about releasing what is no longer serving you. By setting a clear Intention to release old energy at this time, you make ways to manifest new dreams and desires.
There is no wrong or right time, make the most of the Moon Energy that resonates with you.
Creating your Vision Board
Creating your Vision Board is a creative process, so it can take whatever form feels right to you. You can cut out pictures from magazines, print them off from the internet or even create a digital Feng Shui Vision Board if you prefer!
How you put it together is not as important as what the goals and intentions are that you set. With that in mind, try to be specific about what you want to achieve. You can focus on just a few areas of your life or have something for each area if you choose. But letting the Universe know what you are wanting and hoping to achieve and obtain should be clear.
Whatever you want to achieve, no desire is too great for the Feng Shui Vision Board.
Put Yourself at the Centre
Once each area of your Feng Shui Vision Board is complete, use the central space to put a picture of yourself or something of significance to you. This helps to ground your goals and intentions and allows you to focus on achieving them.
